Open Letter to Hugh Hewitt

Dear Hugh

Since you did not respond to my email, I thought I would post it here for all to see.

I haven't listened to your show in quite some time.  I thought I would give you a listen on Inauguration Day to hear what you had to say.

You said we shouldn't be political and we should just enjoy the day.

Why should we enjoy the day when our nation just took a hard turn towards socialism and trashing our constitution?

I changed the station after a couple of minutes of that nonsense.

On another day shortly after that, I was listening to KNUS and I heard a a radio advertisement for your show with a sound bite of your commentary on what the Republicans need to do to win again.

You said we need to stop bashing illegal immigrants.  They aren't immigrants Hugh, they are criminals who have no respect for our nation's sovereignty.

You also said that we need to get off of the Fair Tax.  Do you have any idea how wildly popular the Fair Tax is?   Have you checked the New York Times bestseller list to see how well the Fair Tax books have done?

You claim that talking about the Fair Tax makes for bad radio.   Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity talk about the Fair Tax and they have the #1 and #2 talk shows in the nation respectively.

How many people listen to your show Hugh?  How does your show do in the ratings?

Hugh, you have been wrong in the last 2 elections.

You are wrong about what the Republicans need to do to win elections again.

They lost because they weren't hard enought on illegal aliens and because they went to far to the left with spending.

You are 180 degrees out of phase with conservatism on these issues.

You even supported the bail outs of Fanny and Freddie and look where that got us!

Rush Limbaugh is right when he says that ignorance is our most expensive commodity, and you are loaded with it Hugh.

It's people like you why Republicans have been losing elections.

Sincerely yours,

Fuzzball

Join the new Reagan Revolution.

www.reaganaction.com

The Republican party has become far too inclusive and far too moderate, and even liberal.
We need to make this the party of Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln once again.
We need to let the powers that be in the Repubican party know that WE THE PEOPLE are taking control of our party once again.

If someone wants to run for office, they must tow the line and be conservative in all areas.

First and foremost, we are a pro life party. We will not tolerate the pro death people in our camp.

Second, we are the party of small government.

Third, we are the party of low taxes or no taxes.

Fourth, we are the party of national security.

Fifth, we are the party for securing our borders and ridding ourselves of illegal aliens.

Sixth, we must have english as our official language.

Seventh, we are the party who believes in the second amendment.

Eighth, we are the party that truly believes in free speech, and we will not be silenced by the Fairness Doctrine.

Ninth, we are the party of capitalism and believes in the free market.

Tenth, we are the party that believes in the freedom to practice religion.

Eleventh, we are the party of energy independence.  DRILL BABY DRILL!!!

If some Republicans reject conservatism, then we must let them know that they are no longer welcome in our party.

Write letters, make phone calls, organize meetings.

Do something, get organized, get mobilized.

God help us.

We need to mobilize, NOW

The election is over, but the new election cycle needs to begin now.
We need to draft a candidate now, a conservative candidate, not a moderate who is not a partisan.
There wasn't one single nonpartisan bone in Ronald Reagan's body. He was always partisan and took every opportunity to tell us how wrong the democrats were.
We need to purge our party of the moderates and liberals.
We lost this election because the Republicans abandoned the principles of conservatism.
El Rushbo and Hannity are right.  Conservatism did not lose this election because conservatism was not on the ballot.
Sarah Palin is conservative, but she wasn't on the top of the ticket.
I nominate Sarah Palin to be the chairman of the RNC.
I submit that we draft Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to be our nominee in 2012.

We need to hold our Republican leaders feet to the fire and insist that they resist everything Barry Obama tries to do, and insist that they govern as conservatives.

We fell asleep at the wheel and we failed all of the unborn babies and all of our troops.

We were one vote away on the Supreme Court to overturning Roe vs. Wade.  Now we may have to wait for another generation before we are able to do it.

We got ourselves into this horrific mess.

Now we need to start digging ourselves out of it.

Let's get to work.

ICE won't allow me to report illegal aliens

I live in Lakewood, CO

Yesterday I watched the news on TV and saw the immigration march.

I wondered why ICE doesn't just go down to all these marches and just round up all of the illegals and send them back home.

Then the idea struck me.  I should just call ICE myself and tell them that I know where alot of illegals are and see what kind of reaction I will get.

I looked up the ICE phone number in the phone book and called it.

Of course I was connected to an automated system.  On the recording I was given a phone number to call to report illegal immigration activity.

I called the phone number and to my dismay the number was DISCONNECTED!!!!!!

Their dirty little secret is out!

They don't actually want us to report illegals in this country. They don't want to do anything about it.

Are you reading this Tom Tancredo?

The public needs to know what a bunch of gold bricks we have working at ICE.

We failed the troops....Now let's get to work!

On election day Tuesday, November 8, 2006 we as Americans failed our troops.

We failed to elect the party that supports them and stands firmly behind them.

This among other things is what really bothers me the most. It sickens me that the American people voted against letting our troops finish the job they so desperately want to do.

Americans serving in the military are in my opinion, a cut above the rest of us.

I never served in the military, but I have such strong admiration for these heroes.

They are better and stronger people than I am, and they deserve to have our unwavering support. This means supporting their mission. You can’t do one without doing the other.

They are not mutually exclusive..

The American people voted for the party that has compared our troops to the Nazi’s

They chose the party that believes the troops terrorize Iraqi women and children in the dead of night.

They chose the party that believes the torture chambers of Saddam Hussein have been reopened under new management---American management.

The Democrat party loathes the military. Rush Limbaugh has said that the dems are actively invested in the defeat of our country. They are not patriots. Yet we put them back in charge in a time of war.

I am 41 years old and I am ashamed of the generation that I live in.

We are soft and weak. We don’t know what it is like to go through difficult times.

In this time of war we are able to go about our lives as if nothing of consequence is happening anywhere in the world.

Past generations know what it’s like to go through difficult and challenging times.

It has been said that the World War 2 generation was this country’s greatest generation.

I can’t say that I would disagree with that. But if they were the greatest generation, then our generation is the worst.

Some say that Iraq is a disaster and that we are bogged down and losing the war.

They are squeamish and spineless because we have lost 2500 of our troops.

There were battles in wars past when we lost thousands, even as many as 10,000 or more in a single battle.

If this generation were alive and in charge back then we would all be speaking German right now.

We are not losing the war in Iraq. The fact is, we have already won the war. Now, we are trying to keep the peace. Hussein’s regime has been removed, the Iraqi’s have had free elections. They now have a constitution in place. In fact, they were able to make their constitution much faster than this country did.

This war is not a failure. This war is the most massive military victory in our nations history.

We have freed 50,000,00 million people and have lost only 2,500 of our troops.

Don’t get me wrong, every single one of their lives is precious, but when you look at it in context of previous wars our losses are amazingly minimal.

And the troops want to be there! Reenlistments are at record highs.

And Hussein did have weapons of mass destruction. Everyone in the world knew he had WMD’s. We found WMD’s and the rest of them were moved most likely to Syria.

Some evidence even suggests that the Russians helped move them to Syria.

The problem is, the Bush Administration haven’t defended themselves by bringing this information to the public’s attention.

Republicans have really let us conservatives down during the last few years, and while they deserved to be punished for their failures, our troops did not.

Republicans have been spending our money like drunken sailors and many people now believe that the Republican party is the party of big government, and as Rush has said, “Who can blame them?”

Republicans were also too late on the issue of illegal immigration. If they would have passed legislation a long time ago to build a fence, they would have won on election day.

But for all of their failures, if for no other reason, we should have turned out in droves and voted Republican for the sake of the troops who are losing their lives to protect us and our freedom.

It’s really difficult to be optimistic in times like this, but I was listening to El Rushbo the day following the election. I was feeling really despondent and discouraged. I felt like we had been hit by terrorists again. But something happened. Rush’s optimism and enthusiasm is absolutely and totally infectious. I simply can’t stay down and discouraged when there is so much to be optimistic about.

Yes, we did lose the election, but the races were very close. Razor thin close.

And when you look at the election through the prism and context of the history of the past mid term elections when the president is in his 6th year, we didn’t lose anywhere near the amount that past presidents have lost.

Even the great Ronald Reagan lost many more seats than we did in this election.

Another thing to be optimistic about is that 54 of the democrats who were elected campaigned as conservatives.

You have to be conservative to get elected in most of America.

America did not embrace the democrats by any stretch of the imagination.

They didn’t win the election, we lost.

I heard Bill Clinton say that the reason the republicans are in trouble is because of all of their spending and support of big government. It pains me to admit it but he’s right.

I heard John McCain say that the reason we lost is because we abandoned our conservative philosophy, and once again it pains me to admit it but he is right too.

Now if these jokers understand it, why don’t the republicans understand it?

We can easily win back the house and senate if the Republicans will one again embrace the conservative agenda and start educating people again why conservatism works.

This country is hungry for conservative leadership.

As Rush has said, there is no conservative leadership among those we have elected.

There are no Ronald Reagans or Newt Gingrich’s in our party anymore.

We need someone to step up and inspire people like Reagan did.

Ronald Reagan is the reason many of us are conservatives. He, along with Rush Limbaugh are heroes of mine, and I am doggone proud to say it.

Rush Limbaugh is THE conservative leader of our time. It’s time that some of our elected officials step up to the plate and be conservative leaders.

Republicans simply don’t know how to lead.

When we won the majority in the house and senate back in 2004, they briefly took on the role of leaders, but that was short lived and they reverted to acting and governing like they were the party in the minority.

Not only is it time for our leaders to take stock of themselves, but we all need to look at ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves what we could have done to win this election, especially you losers that didn’t get out and vote.

There are a number of things that we cold have done and can do in future elections.

1. Prayerfully support our elected officials.

2. Contribute financially to their campaigns.

3. Contribute our time by canvassing neighborhoods and making phone calls.

4. Run for office ourselves.

And we need to hold our leaders feet to the fire. We need to remind them who they are working for. We need to remind them that it is us, who got them elected and it is us that they are beholden to.

We need to hold the president’s feet to the fire and let him know that in no uncertain terms that we will NOT allow amnesty for any illegal aliens, and that we don’t support all of the spending and entitlements.

This is no time for him to be cozying up to the democrats. President Bush has the bully pulpit and he doesn’t need to cave in to the liberal democrat agenda.

The bottom line is, it’s up to our elected officials to sound and act like conservatives.

And it’s up to us to turn out and vote for them

We can win. It’s up to us.

Now let’s get back to work.

Let’s win the next one for the troops and they in turn will win the war on terror for us.

And one final thought, we can always count on the liberals to be liberals, which makes it so much easier to win elections!

My thanks to all the troops who are so valiantly and courageously fighting so I have the right to right this blog.

And my thanks to Rush Limbaugh for inspiring me to write this post.

And thank you LORD, for having mercy on and blessing America!
